Terms and Conditions
By using our international cargo services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before booking your shipment.
1. Customers Responsibility
The sender must provide accurate shipment details, proper and complete documents, correct declared value, and secure packaging. The sender is responsible for ensuring that the shipment complies with all applicable laws, customs requirements, airline regulations, and Reliable Cargo policies.
2. Shipment Conditions
Shipments may contain homemade or commercially purchased goods, including food items, ghee, oil, flour, utensils, clothing, and similar household items. Seeds, meat and meat-based products, and perishable food are strictly prohibited. Shipments are accepted in accordance with customs regulations, airline policies, and applicable laws. Reliable Cargo reserves the right to refuse prohibited, restricted, dangerous, or improperly packed shipments. Reliable Cargo shall not be responsible for any shipment rejected, delayed, detained, confiscated, or destroyed by airlines, customs authorities, or any regulatory agency due to prohibited, restricted, dangerous, undeclared, or improperly declared contents. The Customer shall bear full responsibility for such shipments and any resulting costs or legal consequences.
3. Payment Terms
All shipments are accepted on a prepaid basis only. Full payment must be made before shipment processing.
4. Currency and Exchange Rate
Rates quoted in Nepalese Rupees (NPR) will be calculated according to the prevailing exchange rate published by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) at the time of shipment.
5. Weight & Dimension Limits
The Customer shall ensure that all shipments comply with the applicable weight and dimensional limits. Maximum weight per carton shall be 20 kg for Australia, Canada & New Zealand; 22 kg for USA; 24 kg for Europe; and 29 kg for UK. Maximum carton dimensions shall not exceed Length + (2 × Width) + (2 × Height) ≤ 300 cm. Dimensional Weight shall be calculated as Length × Width × Height (cm) ÷ 5000. Freight charges shall be based on the greater of actual weight or dimensional weight. Shipments exceeding the applicable limits may be refused or subject to additional charges.
6. Liability & Insurance
Branded items, food, supplements and fragile items are not insurable or claimable. Eligible shipments can be insured at 2% of the declared value, with a minimum insurance charge of NPR 1,000. Insurance is optional and shall be arranged upon the Customer's request. Where insurance has not been purchased, liability for loss or damage shall be limited to USD 100 per shipment or the applicable carrier's liability, whichever is lower.
7. High-Value Goods
High-value, collectible, and unusually valuable goods are not covered under standard insurance. Such shipments must be declared and forwarded as commercial shipments with the required documents.
8. Prohibited & Restricted Items
Items prohibited or restricted by Customs, Airlines, Government Authorities, regulatory bodies, or Reliable Cargo must not be included in any shipment. Examples may include illegal goods, dangerous or hazardous materials, weapons and ammunition, explosives, narcotics or controlled substances, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, prohibited medicines, flammable materials, and any other item restricted under applicable laws or regulations. If any prohibited, restricted, undeclared, falsely declared, or improperly documented item is found in a shipment, the sender and receiver will be jointly responsible for all resulting consequences, including customs penalties, fines, seizure, confiscation, detention, return, destruction, storage, transportation, legal expenses, and other applicable charges.
9. Claims
A valid insurance claim requires the original bill/invoice, proof of value, shipment number, and supporting photos/videos or other relevant evidence. Reliable Cargo may request additional documents or evidence for verification.
10. Notice
The receiver must report any damage, shortage, or delivery-related issue within 72 hours of receiving the shipment. The original packaging and damaged goods must be retained and made available for inspection and verification.
11. Customs Compliance & Charges
No insurance claim will be accepted for shipments seized, detained, confiscated, returned, destroyed, or otherwise affected by Customs, Airlines, Government Authorities, or regulatory bodies due to non-compliance, incorrect or missing documents, permits, declarations, duties, taxes, or procedures. All customs duties, VAT, taxes, clearance, storage, return, handling, penalties, and other government or shipment-related charges shall be borne by the sender and/or receiver, including where the receiver refuses delivery, refuses to pay charges, or fails to complete clearance. The sender is responsible for accurately declaring all contents and their actual value; any false, incomplete, misleading, or undervalued declaration and resulting costs or liabilities shall be the responsibility of the sender and receiver.
12. Responsibility for Consequences
By sending or accepting a shipment through Reliable Cargo, the sender and receiver acknowledge and accept responsibility for complying with all applicable shipping, customs, tax, airline, and regulatory requirements. Any costs, losses, penalties, or liabilities arising from non-compliance may be charged to the sender and receiver.
13. Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for Remote Area Pickup/Delivery, Fuel Surcharge, Address Correction, Customs Clearance, TIA Handling Charges, Packing & Documentation, Storage, Re-delivery, Return and any carrier-imposed surcharge.
14. Transit Time
Transit times are estimates only and exclude delays caused by customs clearance, airline operations, weather conditions, government authorities, or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Reliable Cargo.
15. Customs Duties and Taxes
All shipments are transported on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis. The shipper and/or consignee is responsible for all applicable duties, taxes, fines, penalties, and regulatory charges imposed by the destination country.
16. Packing and Documentation
The shipper is responsible for ensuring that shipments are properly packed for international transport, all required export documentation is provided, and contents comply with airline and customs regulations. Reliable Cargo reserves the right to refuse any shipment that does not comply with regulatory requirements.
17. Right to Amend
Reliable Cargo reserves the right to modify, amend, or discontinue these rates, services, or terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
